Article Abstract:

Mary Jo Kane, the director of the Tucker Center for Research on Girls & Women in Sport at the University of Minnesota believes that women athletes are unlikely to become as corrupted by money as much as their male counterparts. Her views on the psychological aspects of womens' sports are presented.

Help for canaries and cockatoos: newly passed Wild Bird Conservation Act will save endangered birds

Article Abstract:

A new law banning the importation of some endangered species of wild birds was signed by Pres Bush on Oct 1992. The Wild Bird Conversation Act of 1992 only stipulates on 10 species but the number will be raised to 1,000 in the fall of 1993.
